DEGREES large riveted brooch

Inspired by sci-fi films such as Dune and Star Wars, these found beach plastic and eco-silver-riveted statement rings have been showing in our Degrees exhibtion at Trebah Gardens near Falmouth.

They vary a lot depending on colour and shape of plastic found, but I can send you images of the ones available. Or, you can let me know what colours you like and I can send you a photo of possible combinations: or just ask for a nice surprise!

3 different colours and textures of found beach plastic, collected from beaches around Newquay, or sent to me from Scotland, riveted together with eco-silver rod or tube on a brass plate, with a curved eco-silver pin.

What is ecosilver?

Eco-silver is a green alternative to sterling silver. It is a little bit more expensive but has the same silver content as sterling, it's just made of 100% recycled and scrap silver products. Eco Silver can be both treated and worked with in the same way as silver, for the same quality results but more environmentally friendly. Produced from scrap jewellery, medical equipment, electronics and giftware, all the eco silver I use comes with a certificate of authenticity and is hallmarked if it is the required weight.
